Rexmere Village is a community of manufactured homes from the '80s through today, typically around 1,600 to 2,000 square feet. Prices range from about $73,000 for older properties to around $250,000 for newer models on the water. Many have driveways and carports big enough to shelter one car and screened-in porches to help avoid mosquitos.Another community in the area is The Village at Lake Pine II, which is home to villas and two-story townhouses with red mansard roofs and lakeside views. Locals can exercise at the tennis and basketball courts and picnic at the barbecue pavilion. Here, homes are priced at around $380,000 to $490,000. Locals have ample parking in resident spots. High-quality schools are a short drive from Rexmere Village. The area is served by the Broward County Public School system, which gets a B-plus from Niche. The area's younger students can attend Fox Trail Elementary and Indian Ridge Middle, which both earn a B-plus. Older students can attend Western High, which earns an A-minus. The school offers early college experience through Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses. It also offers programs for English language learners. Parkway Christian School is located in the neighborhood for parents who prefer private schooling.

Greenways galore in Rexmere Village
Locals enjoy hiking and biking on several pedestrian-friendly trails nearby. The Hiatus Road Greenway is a wide, paved trail beginning near the neighborhood and stretching five miles north. Rexmere Village residents enjoy a scenic walk on the Peaceful Ridge Trail on the neighborhood's south side. Shaded by Australian pines for many blocks, it leads to two notable green spaces to the south. Robbins Lodge and Preserve hosts 160 acres of equestrian trails and hardwood hammocks. Flamingo Gardens has a beautiful botanical garden full of native plants and roaming peacocks.

Events through parks, libraries and Davie
Located on the neighborhood's northwest corner, the Broward County Branch Library offers family programs such as toddler classes and adult English classes. Located about three miles south, Flamingo Gardens offers events such as the Harvest Festival in October and Concerts in the Gardens in November. Locals can also experience events throughout the seasons in Davie, including an Orange Blossom Festival, Parade and Rodeo in February.

Rexmere Village is fairly car-dependent, with a walk score of 27 and a bike score of 50 out of 100. Dedicated bike lanes border the neighborhood on I-595, South Flamingo Road and the Peaceful Ridge Trail. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is located about 12 miles east via I-595 for domestic and worldwide travel.

Sawgrass Mills for shopping
The Sawgrass Mills Mall is a well-known South Florida shopping destination for locals and tourists, with over 2.4 million square feet of retail space, including over 70 luxury stores and 16 restaurants. The Plaza at Davie shopping center is located on the north side of Rexmere Village, with groceries at Winn-Dixie and big-box shopping at Lowe's. The Wild Mug has been a local favorite for five years, offering specialty lattes and nine different empanada flavors. "People like the empanadas; they are made from scratch," says Leia Arroyo, one of the owners.
