On the western side of the community, kids can walk to Woodland Park's playground. A path, mainly used for walking and biking, winds through the park's 17 acres, which also includes a soccer field and basketball court. Woodland Park also has a free little library out front. Just east of Woodland, Jewett Park has a skatepark and an outdoor ice-skating rink in the winter. Ravinia Green Country Club is 3 miles east.
