Suburbia shines for West Belleview's conveniently located community
West Belleview, located in Littleton, is a sought-after community that combines the best of suburban living with the convenience of urban amenities. Located in the southwest corner of the Denver metropolitan area, this neighborhood combines mountain views and a convenient commute. With access to various parks and green spaces, as well as a great school system, this is a great choice for someone looking for a well-rounded living experience.
Large properties in an established neighborhood
The neighborhood is divided into two sections. To the east, you’ll find sprawling farmland and large lot sizes. Properties here can sit on over half an acre of land and reach the millions if they back up against the Country West Greenbelt. You can also find ranchers or Craftsman-style homes in the upper $600,000 range. To the west of the neighborhood, you’ll still find single-family one- or two-story homes; however, there’s new construction with stand-alone cityscape Soho homes in the mid $600,000 range. According to Lisa Nguyen, a Realtor with Re/Max Professionals, “There’s not a lot of land to build on in Littleton, so when new developments pop up, people will buy them. Most homes here are older and in neighborhoods that have been around for a while.”
B-rated Jeffco public schools
Students in West Belleview are zoned for the Jefferson County School District. Nguyen, whose son attends school in the district, says, “People buy homes here so their children can attend these schools. They’re not only great academically, but in sports as well.” Children can attend Mount Carbon Elementary School, which receives a B-plus rating from Niche, before moving to Carmody Middle School, a B-minus-rated school from Niche. Then, they can finish their academic studies at Bear Creek High School, a B-plus-rated school from Niche. Bear Creek was named one of the top high schools in Colorado from 2023 to 2024 by U.S. News and World Report and offers over 20 Advanced Placement courses.
Littleton's nearby parks and walking trails
West Belleview teems with access to outdoor recreation, and, from your back patio or deck, you’ll see panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. The neighborhood borders the Country West Greenbelt, where you can walk your dog alongside cattail wetlands on half a mile of trail. Some of the non-irrigated grass greenbelt spills over into Sunrise Creek Park, which also has an irrigated bluegrass developed portion. Here, you can find nearly a mile of trail meandering through the main park and greenbelts, as well as a playground, picnic tables and a creek. Also close by is Bobby Hyatt Jr. Memorial Park, a mostly undeveloped field with surrounding walking trails.
Shopping centers with restuarants and essentials
Head to Kipling Marketplace, a shopping center to the neighborhood's east, and stock up on the essentials. Pop into Safeway to get groceries for dinner or fill up your tank at nearby gas stations. If you don’t feel like cooking at home, try Saucy’s Pizza, a local favorite for dine-in and takeout that makes their dough in-house. Afterward, stop by Ground Up Coffee Café for a cup of coffee or dessert from their selection of pastries in a glass case. In this area, you’ll also find a Walgreens pharmacy, carwashes, Goodwill and a few banks with ATMs.
Traveling in and around West Belleview
To travel outside the neighborhood, hop on West Belleview Avenue, which will take you to Colorado State Highway 470 in minutes. From there, you can get on U.S. Route 285. The neighborhood is located about 16 miles from Denver, ensuring you can commute into the city if needed while maintaining Rocky Mountain views at home.
