Live, work and play near Easter Lake
Home to Lake Easter, Bloomfield/Allen is a suburban neighborhood with access to fishing, playgrounds and the walking trails that the lake has to offer. “Though there aren’t really any lakefront homes, for someone who wants to enjoy nature and get outdoors, this is a great location,” says Ryan Rohlf. Ryan is a Realtor with the dsm SOLD Team at Keller Williams Legacy Group. He is also a resident and a member of the Johnston Chamber of Commerce. Homes here vary, though most near the lake are uniform traditional and Craftsman-style homes with two-car garages. Though apartments and manufactured homes are available, most Bloomfield/Allen residents walk along quiet streets in cozy cul-de-sacs. Locals can drive down Southeast 14th Street to access nearby shops and restaurants or spend a day at Ewing Park’s disc golf course and trails. Though many enjoy the area's quiet atmosphere, downtown Des Moines and the Des Moines International Airport are only 6 miles away for a change of pace.
