A historic cemetery and homes from the early 1900s
Named for the 320-acre cemetery at its heart, Mount Olivet is a historic Detroit neighborhood with a variety of midcentury homes, home prices that are half the city average and convenient access to essential and recreational amenities. During the city’s automotive manufacturing boom, the neighborhood accommodated the influx of automotive workers coming to the city. These homes, built mainly between the 1920s and 1940s, are now known for their lower price points and close proximity to shopping, dining and major roads leading to the interstate or downtown Detroit. “Its prime location ensures easy access to major roads,” says Sherri Nelson Jones, Realtor with Traditions 21A Real Estate Co., “and there’s access to parks, schools and essential amenities just a short stroll away.”
Mt. Olivet Cemetery is set on 300 landscaped acres in the heart of Detroit.
