Less than 2 miles from Interstate 75 and less than 10 miles north of downtown Detroit, Pershing is a Detroit neighborhood of early 20th-century homes slightly removed from the city's action. Surrounding bus stops connect the neighborhood to Detroit’s public bus system, and the Detroit Medical Center lies just 7 miles south. At Pershing’s southwest corner, the intersection of Seven Mile and Conant holds a handful of restaurants and a Royal Fresh Market, adding to the neighborhood’s convenience. Adding to Pershing’s convenient location, its median home price was $57,500 in October 2024, an 11% increase from the previous year. This makes the neighborhood an attractive prospect for investors, says David Rabior, Realtor with Clyde Realty. “There are a lot of investors coming into the area,” Rabior says. “There are a lot of renters in the neighborhood right now.”
