A small residential neighborhood off Interstate-95, Weatherby is home to cute Cape Cods with bay windows, and most houses in the area are built of brick. It's conveniently located near a major roadway and adjacent to Rouge Park, one of the largest in Detroit. Weatherby has plenty to offer residents looking for their first neighborhood.

The park is full of trails and trees and is home to the winding Rouge River. Bikers can also hop on some of the trails, and there's even an archery range in the park and the 18-hole Rouge Park Golf Course. The park is a major draw for homebuyers in this area.

Students in the area are part of Detroit Public Schools Community District, which has a C rating on Niche. The area's youngest learners begin their academic journey at Dossin Elementary Middle School, which has a C-minus rating from Niche and serves grades 6-8. The school has popular extracurricular activities, like robotics, chess and Lego clubs, along with quarterly field trips from students. Students can attend Cody High School, which received a B-plus rating for its teachers from Niche. The school offers a range of athletics programs, extracurricular activities, and clubs for students to participate in. Cass Technical High School is also available and holds a B-plus rating from Niche and offers industry certification programs and a Robotics club.

For a bite to eat, locals love Olympia Coney Island and Manhatten Fish and Chicken. These down-home spots offer tasty comfort food and are within walking distance of Weatherby -- just use one of the sidewalks to get there. Olympia Coney Island serves the local Olympia Breakfast Platter for the morning and gyros for lunch. Manhattan Fish and Chicken has every variety of chicken you could ask for and plenty of fish. For grocery shopping and daily shopping needs, head to Meijer Supermarket. Dollar Tree is also close to the neighborhood, providing residents with plenty of shopping options.

Weatherby is conveniently located and has easy access to amenities like Rouge Park and I-95. The area is also close to various restaurants and conveniences and is walkable to the area around it.
