An upper valley golf community with stand-out greenery

Built around the El Paso Country Club—among the ten oldest golf clubs in Texas—the Country Club community is widely considered El Paso’s most upscale neighborhood, with some of the custom-built estates here commanding prices of over $1 million. The Rio Grande and its historic canal systems play a part in the lush landscape while the surrounding Franklin Mountains serve as a backdrop. “El Paso is the desert, so greenery is understandably coveted in the city because it’s hard to come by,” explains local agent Mike Santamaria of Saint Rogers Realty. “Major draws here are the mature trees and well-maintained grass.”

Sprawling Spanish-style homes with acreage

Custom-built ranch-style and Spanish-Revival homes here were constructed between the 1960s and ‘80s, though the neighborhood has evolved to include contemporary and mid-century modern influences over the years. Ranch-style properties here start between $500,000 and $550,000; higher priced homes (often custom-built with Spanish-inspired details) start around $1.1 million and can reach up to $1.5 million. Spacious lots spanning an acre or more impact property values, as do renovations and modern amenities. Unlike most properties in El Paso’s arid climate, Country Club homes typically maintain grassy front lawns rather than drought-resistant landscaping.
