Kids in Eastwood Heights can attend schools in the Ysleta Independent district, like Edgemere Elementary, which earns a B-plus rating from Niche, and Eastwood Middle, which receives a B. Eastwood High, given an A-minus, offers several dual enrollment options, as well as career and technical education courses in fields such as digital communications, audio and video production, health, arts, engineering and more.

Playgrounds, parks and pickleball
Album Park, known as Eastwood Park among locals, is the neighborhood’s largest park, offering expansive, open green space for soccer and football, as well as a skate park, a dog park with an agility course and courts for tennis and basketball. There are plenty of mature trees to provide shade to residents on the walking trails, playground and picnic areas, and the retention pond fills up and turns into a lake after heavy rain. The Gary Del Palacio Recreation Center is also on-site at Eastwood Park, with indoor basketball, pickleball, volleyball and racquetball courts, as well as a dance studio, a weight room and a large, multipurpose gym.Eastwood Heights residents can also enjoy the local Palm Grove, Suffolk, and Cork Parks, offering open green fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas.

Eastwood eateries and essentials
Residents can do their grocery shopping at the Local Food King or Albertson’s, with Sprouts Farmers Market and Sam’s Club both less than 3 miles away. For retail shopping, the nearby Cielo Vista Shopping Mall is also roughly 3 miles away, with department stores like Macy’s, JCPenney and Dillard's, with surrounding shopping centers having stores like Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Best Buy and more.For a bite to eat, Eastwood Heights residents can stop into Frisco Burger, a casual, 50s-themed, diner-style restaurant serving hamburgers and other classic American fare, or Franky’s restaurant, serving Mexican plates alongside homestyle American breakfasts. RAD Retrocade is a lively bar and restaurant decorated with pop culture references from the past several decades, washed in colorful neon lights thanks to the more than 50 arcade games that can be found inside — though there is also a large outdoor patio with additional seating. Offering creative frozen craft cocktails, brews and bar eats like pizza and wings, the family-friendly location becomes 21+ after 7 p.m. to accommodate more of a party atmosphere. There are often game day specials on food and drinks, as well as live music and trivia nights.

East, west, north and south
Eastwood Heights backs up to the El Paso International Airport, providing residents quick and easy access to domestic and international destinations, with the entrance just on the other side of Montana Avenue. For local travel, downtown El Paso is roughly 10 miles away, and in case of an emergency, Del Sol Medical Center is roughly 2 miles south.
