Timberwolf is a residential neighborhood in the heart of El Paso
Timberwolf, named for the street that serves as its northern border, is a residential community in Central El Paso. Its location gives residents access to the city’s swath of attractions: Fort Bliss and El Paso International Airport to the east, the city center to the west and several green spaces full of activity within a few miles. “It’s in the heart of El Paso,” says Albert Aguilar, a Realtor with Mary Aguilar Realtors. “It’s an older but well-established neighborhood. Prices are still lower compared to other parts of the city.”

Mediterranean-influenced homes with gravel yards along walkable streets
The community is filled with Mediterranean-influenced homes with carports. Some are surrounded by stone walls, while others have traditional or no fencing. The community does not have roadside mailboxes; mail is delivered to the front door. The area's wide streets have streetlights and are usually flanked by sidewalks. Ranch-style houses often range from $150,000 to $270,000 and more traditional styles can go from $155,000 to $265,000. Gravel is often used in front yards instead of grass, though yards can still feature bushes and small trees.

Highway access and a short drive to El Paso International Airport
The area is close to Interstate 10 and U.S. Routes 54 and 62. Aguilar says the interchange between I-10 and U.S. 54 can get congested as it is near the Bridge of the Americas, which leads into Mexico. “We call it the ‘spaghetti bowl,’” Aguilar says. “It gets backed up when people are coming and going.” Downtown El Paso is around 5 miles away. Fort Bliss’ Buffalo Soldier Gate is less than 3 miles away, as is El Paso International Airport. Sun Metro operates public buses that make several stops along Trowbridge Drive and Chelsea Street. Temperatures can reach 105 degrees or more in the summer. Spring dust storms sometimes limit visibility.

You don't have to travel too far south to reach the Bridge of Americas.
