Elm Creek is a growing community just north of Eagle Pass, Texas

Just north of Eagle Pass, Texas, and just east of the Mexican border, Elm Creek is a rapidly developing residential community that offers buyers the opportunity to buy a newly built or to-be-built home. “Elm Creek is a subdivision outside of the [Eagle Pass] city limit but close to all attractions,” says Realtor Diana Betancourt with RE/MAX Real Estate Services. “It offers easy access to Eagle Pass or Del Rio, Texas. Eagle Pass and the Elm Creek area are experiencing a large economic opportunity due to new restaurants and stores coming to the area, and, most importantly, a third international bridge for commerce.” In June 2025, President Trump approved plans for the expansion of the international bridge between Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Mexico, allowing for increased economic opportunities between the two cities.

Elm Creek has entirely single-family homes, with about 90% of residents owning their properties. Elm Creek has ongoing home construction, so many of its houses are newly built, with Craftsman and New Traditional architecture being typical. Buyers looking to build can typically find land for sale in the neighborhood. Recent land sales in Elm Creek have ranged from around $60,000 to $115,000, while recent single-family home sales have mostly been between $225,000 and $325,000. Betancourt warns home buyers: “A new resident should look at the flood zone map due to the proximity of a large creek - Elm Creek.” Homes closest to Elm Creek have the highest risk of flooding during storms.
