Condos and high-end multi-story homes in Vista Ridge
Modern traditionals, craftsman-style homes and Colonial Revivals sit close together on small lots in Vista Ridge, with well-maintained sidewalks lining the quiet, walkable streets. The Blue Sky subdivision on Sunset Way has two and three-bedroom condos ranging from $305,000 to $400,000. Most single-family builds across the neighborhood fall into the $580,000 to $850,000 range, while expansive, luxury homes west of Vista Parkway go for $1.5 million to $2.3 million.Additionally, Vista Ridge has a CAP Index crime score of 2 out of 10; lower than the national average of 4.
A round of 18 with Rocky Mountain Views and HOA amenities
The Colorado National Golf Club winds between the subdivisions of Vista Ridge, with Rocky Mountain views and well-maintained greens. The club is home to an 18-hole course, an indoor practice facility and a restaurant. The Vista Ridge Homeowners Association maintains a community pool, tennis courts and a clubhouse complete with a fitness center. “The community center is one of the big draws to the area,” says Fowler, “and the pool is a hit in the summer. Locals like the privacy of the residents-only amenities.” Most of the area’s subdivisions have a small park with a playground and picnic tables. The 10-acre Columbine Mine Park has pickleball courts, a baseball diamond and a walking trail.Erie High's Academy of Engineering and Aerospace
Most local students attend Black Rock Elementary School, which earns an A-minus grade from Niche, which also ranks it as the fifth-best elementary school in Weld County. Erie Middle School receives a B-plus and offers a curriculum that focuses on Pre-Advanced Placement courses to prepare students for AP courses in high school. The A-minus-rated Erie High School has over 30 clubs and extracurriculars to consider, from the art and creative writing clubs to robotics and Future Business Leaders of America. Erie High also has the Erie Academy of Engineering and Aerospace, a four-year program where students earn hands-on industry experience and work toward a senior capstone project.Shops and restaurants along East Baseline Road
Just south of Vista Ridge, East Baseline Road has a handful of local business and chains, including The Lazy Dog Sports Bar and Grill, a neighborhood favorite serving classic pub fare and craft beer, with regularly scheduled live music. Next door, Si Señor! serves authentic Mexican cuisine with house-made tortillas. For groceries, shoppers can visit the nearby King Soopers. Around 5 miles north, Historic Downtown Erie has a small selection of shops and restaurants, including a coffee shop and a toy store.A quick trip to Boulder or Denver
Colorado state Highway 7 spans around 15 miles west to Boulder and roughly 12 miles east to Brighton. Interstate 25 lies just east of Vista Ridge and can take drivers about 23 miles south to Downtown Denver. “Vista Ridge is in the ideal location for commuters to either metro area,” Fowler says. “You’re within a 20 to 30-minute drive from both Denver and Boulder.” The Denver International Airport is around 25 miles southeast.
