Peaceful neighborhood with a lake lifestyle
The chirping of birds and the quiet lapping of waves are some of the sounds of Lake Roesiger. The secluded neighborhood is located 44 miles northeast of Seattle in Snohomish County. Waterfront properties line the lake’s perimeter, with thick forests separating properties. Woodland trails weave along the foothills of the Cascade Mountain range to the east. “It’s a different lifestyle up here. It's far enough out to give you the privacy you want, but you can still use your phone,” says Realtor Pete Keating with John L. Scott Real Estate, who has over 15 years of experience and specializes in Snohomish County. “It’s so quiet out on the lake at night, you can hear people eating their dinner and washing their dishes after.”

Recreation along the lake and surrounding forests
Lake Roesiger itself is a hub of outdoor recreation and has a public boat launch. According to Keating, the lake has seasonal hours for motorized boats, though kayaking and paddleboarding are always allowed. Lake Roesiger Park is a seasonal green space that has beach access, a large grassy field and a picnic area. Multiple walking trails weave through the wooded area behind the park. The Lake Roesiger Group Campground has 10 walk-in, rentable campsites. There are also two Boy Scout summer camps in the area: Camp Pigott and Camp Edward. Both have cabins, archery ranges and access to Hughes and Bevis lakes. Nearby, the Explorer Falls Trail is a popular trail that leads to a 50-foot waterfall.

Single-family homes with lots of land
Most homes in Lake Roesiger sit on waterfront properties. Multi-story luxury homes are common, built between the 1970s and early 2000s. Some homes have cabin-inspired architecture with wood exteriors and floor-to-ceiling picture windows, while others have a more traditional design – many have balconies and porch areas. These houses span 1,100 to 3,600 square feet and cost $1 million to $1.5 million. Additionally, there are split-level and raised ranch-style homes built in the 1960s on hillsides. These are priced between $700,000 and $1 million for 850 to 2,000 square feet. “Half the homeowners live here full-time, and the others are only here during the summer months. People come up for weekends and sunny weather too,” Keating says. “The year-round homes are fully built-out houses on a septic tank system.”
There may be potential flood risks when it rains excessively. The CAP Index crime score in Lake Roesiger is 1 out of 10, which is lower than the national average of 4.

Celebrating a community of boaters
The annual Fourth of July celebration is the area’s most popular event. There’s a boat parade and people compete to receive high scores for decorations along the shoreline. “People like to go dock hopping and visit each other’s houses from the water,” Keating says. “We’ll take our pontoon out that night and park it in the middle of the lake to watch fireworks.”
Lake Roesiger’s The Cove, and Snohomish commercial centers
Lake Roesiger’s only retail source is The Cove at Lake Roesiger, a general store that sells groceries and fishing essentials and has kayak and paddleboard rentals. A large outdoor space in the back has a playground and operates as a beer garden that regularly hosts live music, food trucks and trivia nights in the warmer months.
Downtown Snohomish is the neighborhood’s closest outlet for shopping and dining, about 13 miles west. There are dozens of local shops along First Street, including Peaches Boutique. The Repp is an upscale restaurant and bar, across the street from Cathouse Pizza.
For more options, the commercial corridor along Avenue D has two grocery stores – a Haggen and a Safeway. Fast-food options include Jimmy Johns and Starbucks. Further north, on Bickford Avenue, there are national retailers like Home Depot.
