Woodlands Village
Condos amid scenic pine canopy
The neighborhood shares its name with Woodlands Village Boulevard, one of a few roads here lined by rows of mature and towering pine trees. What’s for sale primarily consists of condos and a few townhouses. Otherwise, the neighborhood has several apartment complexes, with some drawing NAU students. Apartments make up nearly half of the properties in this part of the city. Condos can go from $290,000 to $390,000, while townhouses run slightly over that range.Cuisine from around the world in Woodlands Village
Establishments in the Woodlands Village shopping center offer cuisines from three different continents. Options at Taverna Modern Mediterranean include feta-topped salads and fries, artisan pizzas and skewered meats. Patrons can also enjoy glasses of red wine as they dine. The Delhi Palace Cuisine of India and TeppanFuji Restaurant serve different styles of Asian cuisine. For some Tex-Mex and Southwestern food, there’s Tacos Los Altos - West Side. Lopez also recommends downtown eateries like Toasted Owl Cafe, which he calls, “A cool little breakfast place.” Located only a few minutes away, the restaurant runs out of a repurposed house with antique furnishings. The Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery is one of several nearby watering holes. Grocers here include Bashas’.Convenient access to “foots” network
The neighborhood accommodates bikers, dog walkers and avid joggers with a few sections of the Flagstaff Urban Trails System. The FUTS — pronounced “foots” — spans over 50 miles, and long-term plans call for the network to eventually reach 130 miles. Within the neighborhood, the trail runs past a few apartment complexes and portions of the commercial district. The neighborhood is also about a mile from the Riordan Mansion State Historic Park. The site’s obvious centerpiece is the 13,000-square-foot stone and log mansion that once housed the Riordan brothers and their families. The landmark exhibits elements of so-called “Parkitecture,” a rustic and nature-themed style that the National Park Service began using in the early 20th century.Flagstaff High’s powerhouse girls basketball program
The area is zoned for the Kinsey Inquiry and Discovery School, which provides primary-level education and earns a C-plus grade from Niche. Students may then attend Mount Elden Middle School and Flagstaff High School, which respectively get s B and a B-plus from Niche. Flagstaff High’s athletics include a strong girls' basketball team. Following an exceptional season where they didn’t lose a single game in their region, the squad won a state title in 2025 — the second in three years. The neighborhood is also less than a mile from NAU.Only a few miles from downtown Flagstaff celebrations
Located only a few miles from Downtown Flagstaff, the Woodlands Village area is close to several city events. They include Art in the Park, a free biannual event around July 4 and Labor Day weekend. Each event spans a few days and brings in over 80 regional artists showcasing anything from jewelry and ceramics to Southwest-themed paintings. Those in attendance can also enjoy kettle corn and sample ales in a beer garden with live music.Located right off I-40 and Milton Road commuter routes
Mountain Line buses serve the neighborhood, while commuters are close to Interstate 40 and Milton Road. The quick access to those thoroughfares has driven this area’s growth. “We have more entrances and exits to the highway … That’s going to bring all the industry through town,” Lopez says. I-40 leads to the W.L. Gore & Associates campus, 3 miles west of the neighborhood. Milton Road runs to downtown Flagstaff, about 2 miles north. The road also leads to the Flagstaff Medical Center about 3 miles north. The Flagstaff Pulliam Airport to the south provides commercial flight services.
