Flower Mound Elementary School is in the neighborhood boundaries, within walking distance of homes around Churchill Drive. Downing Middle School has a Lewisville STEM Academy program, a collaborative learning environment that teaches students STEM skills. Marcus High School has a prominent athletics program, including state football and basketball championships. Former defensive player of the year in the NBA, Marcus Smart, is an alum of Marcus High. Pecan Acres sits about 30 miles from both Fort Worth and Dallas. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is across Long Prairie Road, about a mile from Pecan Orchard Park. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is one of the top employers for city residents and is less than 10 miles from the neighborhood. “It’s a pretty central location between the two big cities, and the proximity to the airport is great,” Enos says. “A lot of people who live in Flower Mound work there. A lot of pilots live in the area.”
