The Red Fox Meadows Natural Area is a protected wildlife habitat with a mile of soft surface trail running through its open fields. Bauder Elementary School earns a B overall grade from Niche and Blevins Middle School receives a B-plus. The A-minus-rated Rocky Mountain High School is the No.5 public high school in Larimer County, according to Niche. There are over 50 school-sponsored clubs at Rocky Mountain High, with topics ranging from sign language and forensics to fashion and pottery. Students can earn dual enrollment credits by taking courses with Front Range Community College or AIMS Community College.
Momo Lolo Coffee Shop serves tea and coffee from local suppliers along with a varied selection of baked goods, from lemon bars to banana bread. Beijing Noodle serves traditional Chinese cuisine, with dishes like Wuhan noodles and chili oil wontons. Mama Roni’s Pizza is a nearby option for carry-out pies and other Italian classics. Residents can pick up their groceries at the nearby Whole Foods or King Soopers.
When traveling out of the city, drivers can take Interstate 25 north or south to nearby cities like Denver and Cheyenne, Wyoming. Transfort has bus stops along West Prospect Road and South Taft Hill Road. Foothills Green is a bikeable community and earns a Bike Score of 82 out of 100. Downtown Fort Collins is 3 miles northeast of the neighborhood, accessible via Shields Street and Laporte Avenue.
