Flea market attracts tourists
Before the middle of 2023, there was an amusement park located at the multi-level Swap Shop flea market on Sunrise Boulevard. After several years of operation, Uncle Bernie's rides ceased to operate. The drive-in movies at Swap Shop have also been discontinued. However, the 180,000-square-foot air-conditioned flea market with about 2,000 vendors that make up the two levels remains, drawing people from miles around. It is believed to be the second-largest tourist attraction in the state and the largest in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area. If you need to purchase groceries, you can visit the Walmart Supercenter approximately four miles away on Oakland Park Boulevard, or Publix, which is located about three miles away to the northeast on the same road.

A sculpture and plenty of green space at Dillard Green Space Park.
Broward County creates green space
Located at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and 27th Avenue, there is Dillard Green Space. Broward County Parks and Recreation purchased this land to create a beautiful green space for the community to enjoy. The park features paved walkways, which are perfect for exercising or taking a stroll. While there are no playgrounds or athletic facilities, there is a sculpture called 'At One', designed by local artist Blessing Hancock. At night, an LED light fixture accentuates the sculpture and enhances its beauty.
