Smooth sidewalks and bike lanes connect pedestrians with their wider area, while buses circulate the neighborhood's main arteries to take residents longer distances. A trip downtown is just a quick, fifteen-minute drive, or twenty-minute bike ride. Drivers are also well-connected with the wider area with major highways such as Interstate 95 and popular local thoroughfares such as 9th Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard close by.For the closest hospital, residents can head about four miles southeast to HCA East Florida Division Hospital, while for the closest airport, residents can head six miles further to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Local entertainment at Broward Center
One local option for entertainment is the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Just a couple miles south of the neighborhood, this venue is a popular destination for Broadway shows, ballet, concerts and plays, as well as educational workshops.
