Riviera Isles

Multimillion-dollar waterfront homes
Homes in this HOA-free community are a mix of contemporary estates with sleek lines and floor-to-ceiling windows alongside grand Mediterranean Revivals with terracotta barrel roof tiles, stucco siding and deep-set arches. While some properties date back as early as the 1930s, it's typical for these houses to see extensive remodels and renovations. Since every property is waterfront, all residents have private access to the Intracoastal Waterway. “This location saves serious boaters a lot of time,” Vanucchi says. “If you live at the top of Las Olas Isles, you have to go around all the islands. Here, you don’t have to worry about fixed bridges, and it’s a straight shot to Port Everglades.” Though densely set, the waterfront lots leave enough backyard space for in-ground pools, entertainment areas and private docks. List prices generally range from $2.9 million to $8.9 million, but corner lots featuring water frontage on two sides can climb past $15 million.Idlewyld Park and Las Olas Beach
Idlewyld Park, located less than a mile away, is a scenic waterfront nook that has become a popular stop for walks to and from the beach. It’s set on the Intracoastal Waterway, where watercraft sail just over a mile south to Port Everglades. Las Olas Beach is Fort Lauderdale’s signature beachfront destination, home to white sandy shores, crystal blue waters and a promenade lined by cafes, bars and restaurants. Across the street from the beach, Las Olas Oceanside Park hosts live music and the Farmers, Antique and Artisan Market every Saturday.
Las Olas Boulevard
Las Olas Boulevard’s main strip of restaurants, boutiques and other attractions is just over a mile from Riviera Isles. Locals and tourists spend weekends at the iconic Riverwalk, browsing boutiques, catching live shows, taking gondola tours and dining at eclectic canal-side eateries. Casa Sensei is popular for its waterfront patio and a menu of pan-Asian and Latin fusion fare. Closer to the beach and only about a mile from the neighborhood, Nanou Fresh Bakery and Cafe has garnered quite a few regulars since it opened in 2015. Open daily for breakfast and lunch, it’s ideal for morning pick-me-ups and afternoon pastries. Residents must go a little out of the way for groceries and day-to-day shopping, but The Fresh Market is off U.S. Route 1, less than 5 miles away.Fort Lauderdale High’s Pre-Law and Public Affairs Magnet Program
Fort Lauderdale is served by Broward County Public Schools. Harbordale Elementary is graded A-minus on Niche, Sunrise Middle earns a B and Fort Lauderdale High has an A. The high school features several magnet programs, including one for pre-law and public affairs. Students accepted into this program can get a head start on their futures in law, government and politics, criminal justice and law enforcement, public service or social work.
U.S. Route 1 to the airport
Downtown Fort Lauderdale is just over 2 miles from Riviera Isles, as is U.S. Route 1, which has a direct exit to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The airport is less than 10 miles south of Riviera Isles.
