Palm Beach Boulevard dining and downtown favorites

Morningside features a variety of dining options along Palm Beach Boulevard, but the neighborhood also benefits from its location near the historic downtown. “The neat thing about downtown Fort Myers is it’s a very old town. In the River District, they tried to keep the old feel with cobblestone streets. All the buildings are even early 1900s,” says Marc Lobdell, a broker at Coldwell Banker with over 30 years of experience. You can grab a bite to eat at these spots:

  • Downtown House of Pizza, a casual spot for specialty pies and subs, popular for its outdoor patio
  • Ford’s Garage, a bar and grill with an auto shop theme, serving burgers and craft beer
  • Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant, a long-standing establishment with a full menu of Chinese takeout favorites
  • Taqueria La Mexicana, a laid-back taco truck serving traditional Mexican street food
  • RedBone’s Bar & Grill, a Key West-style grill with steak bites and ribs
Nearby grocery stores include Bravo Supermarkets and Save A Lot, with more shopping available downtown.
