Fort Pierce North
Ranch and bungalow style houses are available
Fort Pierce North offers a mix of two- and three-bedroom bungalows and ranch-style homes. Many are from the 1970s and have been updated over the years, while others were rebuilt from the ground up in the early 2000s. Lot sizes run large, giving homes ample front and backyards. Prices range from the high $100,000s to the mid $300,000s. A few condo complexes are located on the neighborhood's north side, with two-bedroom units priced between $140,000 and $150,000. North Fort Pierce also has land priced between $15,000 and $80,000 for half-acre and three-quarter-acre lots. Many of these lots sit between houses, giving residents additional privacy.High Schoolers can join the Marine and Oceanographic Academy

Students can enroll in one of the school's many magnet or career technical programs, including the prestigious Marine and Oceanographic Academy. Through this program, select students can study alongside scientists at Florida Atlantic University.Paradise Park and Horatio Grisby Park are go-to spots for recreation
Fort Pierce North parks include the triangle-shaped Paradise Park on Avienda Avenue, which has just enough space for a basketball court and small playground, and Horatio Grisby Park along Avenue M, which has a large baseball and softball field, a public pool and an on-site community center. The area is also peppered with golf courses, including Fairwinds Golf Course off Route 1, a public course designed by Jim Fazio. Downtown Fort Pierce has many places to get close to wildlife, like the Manatee Observation and Education Center on Indian River Drive. The center allows visitors to spot the local “sea cows” that make their home in the neighboring Indian River Lagoon.Taylor Creek Commons shopping center offers essentials
Residents can head to the intersection of Routes 1 and A1A to run errands at Taylor Creek Commons. The shopping complex has Publix and other everyday needs like gas stations, a pet grooming shop and a barber shop. Just up the street from Taylor Creek Commons, Sacred Grounds Corner Café has an all-day coffee bar and a lunch and dinner menu with hearty options like pasta, hot sandwiches and steak. For a meal by the water, Skipper’s Cove Bar & Grill is right against the coast on Harbortown Drive and specializes in fresh seafood, including the restaurant’s signature fish and chips. Services like medical centers and hospitals are also conveniently close; HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital and associated medical centers are about 5 miles away.Close to Interstate 95, bus stops
Fort Pierce North is near both Route 1 and Interstate 95, which connect major cities like Orlando and Miami, about 120 miles and 135 miles away, respectively. Those taking public transportation can hop aboard an Area Regional Transit (ART) bus at stops along North 25th Street, Juanita Avenue and Route 1 and travel throughout the Treasure Coast. The Palm Beach International Airport is about 70 miles away, offering flights nationwide. While the Treasure Coast International Airport borders the neighborhood, it is mainly for private planes and flight training. “Air traffic is really minimal. They keep talking about possibly expanding it, but there’s nothing in the works right now,” Buccholz says. The airport is slated to offer commercial flights in 2025.
