Suburban neighborhood close to Downtown Fort Pierce
The neighborhood of Fort Pierce North is a small, suburban pocket off Florida’s Treasure Coast, almost 4 miles from downtown Fort Pierce. And while there are homes, parks and houses of worship here, development has been slow coming to this area. Still, according to Diane Buccholz, a Realtor with Keller Williams of Port St. Lucie, this mix of light industrial and residential has potential. "I think it's going to be a real up-and-coming area, but in about 20 years,” she says.
Ranch and bungalow style houses are available
Fort Pierce North offers a mix of two- and three-bedroom bungalows and ranch-style homes. Many are from the 1970s and have been updated over the years, while others were rebuilt from the ground up in the early 2000s. Lot sizes run large, giving homes ample front and backyards. Prices range from the high $100,000s to the mid $300,000s. A few condo complexes are located on the neighborhood's north side, with two-bedroom units priced between $140,000 and $150,000. North Fort Pierce also has land priced between $15,000 and $80,000 for half-acre and three-quarter-acre lots. Many of these lots sit between houses, giving residents additional privacy.
In Fort Pierce North, most of the homes are single-story.

The area is also peppered with golf courses, including Fairwinds Golf Course off Route 1, a public course designed by Jim Fazio.
