The island's one main thoroughfare, Florida State Road A1A, connects to US Highway 1 via Southeast Ocean Boulevard and connects residents to the rest of the Treasure Coast. For longer trips, the Palm Beach International Airport is about 70 miles away and offers flights nationwide.
