The neighborhood also has great proximity to public transportation. In early 2023, this became even more true with the construction of McKinnie Commons. This project turned a regularly frequented bus stop into a small green space.
While there are no parks in Anthony Wayne proper, aside from the McKinnie Commons pocket green space, recreational facilities are just a stone's throw away at McMillen Park and McMillen Park Community Center. Folks of all ages can often be found at this athletic hub playing doubles on the tennis courts or H-O-R-S-E on the basketball courts. Sitting just over a mile due north of the neighborhood, this recreational center's indoor facilities, such as its gymnasium and its outdoor amenities, including a pool with a waterslide, are easily within reach of Anthony Wayne residents.
