Downtown Fort Wayne is a short drive from Anthony Wayne. Residents simply hop on East Pettit Avenue, turn onto Route 27 and are in the heart of the city in less than 5 miles — roughly a 10-minute ride if traffic is good. The neighborhood also has great proximity to public transportation. In early 2023, this became even more true with the construction of McKinnie Commons. This project turned a regularly frequented bus stop into a small green space.
