Highly sought after neighborhood in Fort Wayne
First developed in the 1960s, Hacienda Village became a go-to neighborhood in northeast Fort Wayne for residents looking for large homes and a lot of land. “A lot of doctors lived there, a lot of Fort Wayne’s high earners. It was a very prominent neighborhood. It still is,” says Edmond Jemison, a broker with Century 21 Bradley Realty, Inc., who grew up in the area and sells throughout the city. Today, it’s still where many go when they want more space but still be close to all the amenities Fort Wayne offers. “It’s definitely what I think of as an 'American dream' type of neighborhood," Jemison says. "The houses are big; a lot of them are on half-acre lots, kids walk to school there. It's highly sought after."
