Most Parkville Addition locals don't have long work commutes. Purdue University is a major player in the local economy, along with Parkview Hospital, within a 5-mile ride away. The 5-mile ride into downtown Fort Wayne is typically under 15 minutes from Crescent Avenue, a scenic, non-highway route. Most locals here are drivers, but there are Citilink bus stops at all the major shopping plazas for a car-free ride around town. The Fort Wayne International Airport is roughly 15 miles south for long-distance travel. "The way Fort Wayne is laid out - it's not too bad getting anywhere," Yoder says.
