Residences and community park off the highway
Located right off Interstate 35 West, the Brentmoor community is a straight 5-mile ride south of downtown Fort Worth. The section of the neighborhood closest to the interstate contains rows of industrial warehouses and commercial buildings, while residential blocks and the sizeable Ciquio Vasquez Park are nestled further in. While the northern part of this suburb is typically easygoing, the rumbling of a freight train chugging along the tracks is often the norm. Community spirit can be seen at La Gran Plaza, a unique mall that blends local business, art and cultural entertainment where residents gather for special events like Cinco de Mayo and Posadas Navideñas.

Low inventory of old and new bungalows
Brentmoor is made up of older properties originally built between the 1920s and 1950s, many featuring Minimal Traditional architecture and bungalow styles. For a humble 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom dwelling, buyers can expect to pay between $170,000 to $175,000. “The prices are considerably lower and that’s because a lot of the houses are older and haven’t been kept up,” says Alex Gough, a Realtor with Airstream Realty who’s been selling around the area for three years. However, there have been recent moves to renovate these established homes – even though the inventory is low. “It’s a bit of an older area, and as sometimes happens with older areas, they get new lifeblood. More investors are coming in and renovating the houses,” says Gough. “It’s a great place for new, younger investors.”
