A well-established, central community
Located about 9 miles east of Downtown Fort Worth along Interstate 30, Cooke’s Meadow is a neighborhood named for Jacob Cooke, who owned and operated a trading post and campground for teamsters back in the 1870s, and has been around since 1974, some 50 years ago. “Age means the neighborhood is well established with large, mature trees,” says Realtor Scott Andrews with Coldwell Banker Realty. Andrews has sold real estate in Greater Fort Worth for nearly four years now. “Cooke’s Meadow is close to several major highways without being troubled by the noise.” With large traditional homes and a location central to downtown, recreation and attractions, Cooke’s Meadow is a neighborhood with many bonuses.
