Compared to nearby neighborhoods, Harvest Ridge is a mix of convenience and affordability. Homeowners are a short drive from everything they need. "It's a moderately priced, well-kept area with good amenities such as the pool and nearby trails," says Karen Blackburn, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty with over 20 years of experience. In addition to the location and prices, the highly rated schools are one of the neighborhood's main draws. "The schools are pretty popular, so you will see a lot of younger families," says Jon Smedley, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty with over 10 years of experience. Although the neighborhood is bordered by a collection of warehouses, industrial noise is not an issue.

Mostly uniform houses with attached garages
Traditional brick houses built after 2000 sit along the subdivided streets of Harvest Ridge. Many include attached garages, with sidewalks lining the roadways for residents to stroll through the community. House prices typically range from $315,000 for ranch-style homes with three bedrooms and large lots to $485,000 for contemporary designs with traditional influences. "Homes are fairly uniform, but there is enough variation to choose from," Smedley says. "One or two builders build in the area, and people have a handful of home plans to choose from." HOA fees are common throughout the neighborhood and usually cost between $30 and $50 monthly.

High marks for Harvest Ridge schools
Harvest Ridge students are part of the Keller Independent School District. Education begins at Woodland Springs Elementary School, which gets an A from Niche and serves Pre-K through fourth grade. Trinity Meadows Intermediate School is for fifth and sixth grades and receives an A-minus. Students go to the A-rated Trinity Springs Middle School for seventh and eighth grades, before attending Timber Creek High School, which gets an A-minus. The district also offers dual enrollment courses in partnership with Weatherford College and Tarrant County College.

Harvest Ridge residents use Denton Highway or Alliance Gateway Freeway to drive anywhere around North Texas and the metroplex. Interstate 35 is west of the neighborhood and leads to downtown Fort Worth, about 19 miles away. Dallas is a 37-mile drive from Harvest Ridge, while the DFW International Airport is about 17 miles away. "It's real convenient to main streets and highways. Grocery stores and minor shopping are really close," says Blackburn. The Hillcrest subdivision includes a private airstrip, Hillcrest Airport, in the center of the community. Residents in homes closest to the air strip may hear planes taking off and landing. For those seeking medical attention, the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance is a couple of miles south of Harvest Ridge.
