Lakeside recreation and Fort Worth attractions
Located just outside of Forth Worth’s southside, Marine Creek combines scenic local recreation spots with quick access to some of the most popular attractions in the city. The community earns its name from Marine Creek Lake, a popular fishing, swimming, and hiking spot that is surrounded by several residential neighborhoods and schools. But the namesake lake is not the only thing that draws locals to the area. Marine Creek is less than 10 miles away from southside Fort Worth, making it easy to get to large employers and famous attractions like the Stockyards. Closer to home, Marine Creek residents can enjoy local markets, retail hubs, and a highly-rated school district, all within the boundaries of their neighborhood.

Texas-inspired ranch homes
Marine Creek is made up of multiple small subdivisions, but regardless of location, many homes in the area share a likeness. These lakeside neighborhoods are filled with one-story brick ranch homes or bungalows with neutral color palettes, arched entryways, and covered porches and patios. Although it is possible to find homes that date back to the 1980s, construction for most Marine Creek communities began in the 2000s. These properties are built on well-organized streets and lined by large yards, tidy sidewalks and shade from carefully planted oak trees. A Marine Creek home typically costs between $300,000 and $400,000. “Since a lot of people that live there are commuting into Fort Worth, affordability is a big reason to live outside the city.” says Corey Bearden, a Realtor with League Real Estate and a north Texas local.

Waterfront fun on Marine Creek Lake
Marine Creek Lake is a "no-wake" lake for boaters, but fishing, swimming, sailing and paddling are all popular activities for visitors to cool off from the Texas sun. Looping around Marine Creek Lake is a 6-mile trail that leads to a butterfly garden, recreation center, and a boardwalk. Marine Creek is just north of the sprawling Lake Worth and is only 3 miles from Marion Sansom Park, a favorite place for hiking, biking, and paddling on the lake’s shore. Marine Creek is just 15 miles away from the southside of Forth Worth, making it a short drive to popular attractions like the Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth Zoo, or the Fort Worth Stockyards. “Attractions like the Stockyards are a big draw here. People just love good old-fashioned Texas fun,” says Bearden.
