Proximity to Interstate 35 and downtown Fort Worth
Home to Clark Stadium and Tarrant County College’s South Campus, Southland Terrace is an established neighborhood adjacent to the Interstate 35W and Interstate 20 interchange. It's not only in proximity to highways; the growing Near Southside area, downtown Fort Worth and The Stockyards are a short drive north. “It has proximity to Tarrant County College, the interstate and East Seminary Road, which is one of the main thoroughfares of Fort Worth,” says Rob Sandefur, a Realtor with ExP Realty, LLC. “Some college students could live over here and rent out the other rooms of their house to help pay their mortgages.” Southland Terrace has a CAP Index Crime Score of 10, significantly higher than the national average of 4. One Safe Place is a violent crime prevention organization for Tarrant County neighborhoods; it provides comprehensive training and accessible resources for victims, youth and offenders. In 2014, the One Safe Place Family Justice Center opened, becoming the largest family justice center in the world. The center helps local families through risk assessments followed by short—and long-term safety plans.

Mostly ranch-style houses in Southland Terrace
Located in the southern part of Fort Worth, Southland Terrace features flat neighborhood streets and sporadic sidewalks. Long, compact yards are shaded by large old-growth bur oaks and pecan trees; some front lawns feature small gardens and lawn ornaments, and backyards are most often fenced-in. While multiple apartment options exist, most single-family residences are tract ranch homes with long driveways to avoid street parking. Some houses even include a garage or carport. Buyers can expect a three-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch to be priced between $200,000 and $270,000. “I have sold a few properties in Southland Terrace in the last few years, and they lasted about three weeks on the market,” Sandefur says. “But I think people have become a little afraid of interest rates, and properties are not moving as fast currently.” Several churches of varying denominations are sprinkled throughout Southland Terrace.
Small learning communities at Wyatt High
Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) scores a B-minus on Niche and serves almost 75,000 students across 140 schools. For those continuing their education or maybe the draw to the area, Tarrant County College’s South Campus is a part of the neighborhood. The two-year college offers associate degrees in arts, teaching, science and applied science, as well as other certificates. Other higher education options include Texas Christian University, about 5 miles northwest.

Dining along East Seminary Drive
Most retail and restaurant options, including local Mexican eats and fast-food chains like Whataburger, can be found along East Seminary Drive and 35 W. Residents can also pick up weekly needs from the Spanish supermarket El Rancho Supermarcado, which operates 18 grocery stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Next door to El Rancho is Cesar’s Tacos. Patrons can either dine in or pick up through the drive-in. While most come for authentic tacos, as its name implies, the menu includes burgers. La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth’s rich Mexican culture makes it a notable South Worth shopping center. Under tall glass ceilings are multiple floors, connected by a giant, winding slide, leading to the first floor’s colorful playspace and bounce houses. There are over 200 stores, with some being national retail stores and others small businesses selling imported goods. Throughout the mall are vibrant murals, metal sculptures of mythical creatures and mariachi bands on the weekends. Southland Terrace is also within proximity to Near Southside and its growing urban South Main Street area, as well as all of the entertainment, dining and shopping in Downtown Fort Worth and The Stockyards.
