With several parks to choose from for some outdoor time, Patricia LeBlanc Park floats to the top of the list. It gained national recognition in the 1990s as the first universal playground in the country, allowing kids of all abilities to play side-by-side. At 17-acre Westcreek Park on Jennie Drive, locals enjoy the basketball and tennis courts, soccer field and playground. The park connects to the nearby Woodmont Linear Park, a trail that takes residents past public art installations offering messages of encouragement.
