Willow Creek is sandwiched by Burleson and Fort Worth
Willow Creek’s suburban neighborhood in Fort Worth is part industrial and also part suburban. It's a great mix for young professionals and young families wanting to live a slower lifestyle just outside city limits. Willow Creek’s southern location means residents enjoy lower taxes than those in Fort Worth or Dallas. “It’s a quiet, centrally located neighborhood, yet it has easy access to stores, restaurants and highways,” says Deborah Cottongame, a sales associate with Weichert Realtors. Despite its rural nature, all daily necessities are within walking distance or a short drive away. According to Cynthia Sturns, a Realtor with Northern Crain Realty, the neighborhood’s industrial prowess comes from several major employers along Interstate 35. "So, not only are you living quietly between big cities and a charming downtown area,” Sturns adds. “You aren't making a long commute like you would in an even more rural area of Texas." Major employers include Aerospace and aviation, defense and security, energy, financial services and transportation.
Willow Creek's rural yet suburban vibe
Willow Creek homes are mostly Traditional brick homes with spacious built-in garages on the front. Near Sycamore School Road, the neighborhood’s northern end features established homes on wide streets. Mature trees scattered throughout the area provide shade for residents. Cottongame says the neighborhood’s affordability is one of the main draws for homebuyers. Generally, homes are priced between $300,000 and $380,000.
Most homes in Willow Creek are recently-built traditional brick.

Restaurants and retail are located up and down I-35
Just because Willow Creek is more rural than other spots in the Metroplex doesn't mean residents have to be far from daily conveniences. Residents pop into Quick Wok Chinese Restaurant near the intersection of Everman Parkway and Crowley Road for classic Chinese dishes in a casual setting. The restaurant offers a drive-thru and indoor dining to enjoy dishes like lo mein and orange chicken. A quick drive south is Crowley, where Willow Creek residents can peruse popular big-box stores or enjoy a new release at the AMC movie theater. For dinner at home, there’s WinCo Foods on Crowley Road. Other chain restaurants, such as Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen and Chipotle, are located down the highway in the Burleson Town Center. "Burleson is still growing," Sturns says. "But they already have a wonderful selection of restaurants and eateries. There are big brands and mom and pops, like Babe's Chicken." Babe's Chicken offers Southern comfort staples, like fried chicken and collard greens, in a rustic yet whimsical setting off Burleson's South Main Street.
