Woodland Springs
21st century brick villas and mini mansions
Over 4,500 houses have been built across Woodland Springs since development began in 2000. The neighborhood comprises several smaller housing communities that feature various styles. The Sugar Groves subdivision has new traditional, single-story villas, while Hillside and Forest Hill feature contemporary colonials and mini mansions. Many villas offer about 1,500 square feet, while the mini mansions can feature upwards of 5,000. Most residents have finely manicured front yards typically adorned with mature trees and small mulch gardens. Houses usually cost between $300,000 and $700,000. "Housing prices are lower in this area," Wilson says. "So, they sell pretty quickly." Sidewalks line most streets and connect residents with other subdivisions, parks, pools and playgrounds.Top-rated Keller Independent Schools
Kids growing up in the area attend schools in the Keller Independent School District, which scored an overall A on Niche. Students attend Independence Elementary School, which features a student-to-teacher ratio of 13-to-1. Six pools scatter the neighborhood, each in a separate subdivision. For instance, the pool on Wild Pear Lane is in the Westview subdivision, while the pool at Angel Food Lane is nearest to residents of the Sugar Groves subdivision. Many pools feature adjacent parks or small playgrounds where the kids play. Slide Pool at Woodland Springs Park is one of the community's bigger pools, featuring a slide and an attached children's pool for the younger kids. Woodland Springs Park also features a few dry amenities, like a playground and short walking trails. Locals also enjoy strolls by the water at Babbling Brook Park. Bray Birch Park features another swimming pool alongside a sand volleyball court and a softball field.Dinner at Oliva, shopping at Kroger
Residents frequent the Kroger at the corner of Timberland Boulevard and North Beach Street when they need to grab groceries. The intersection also features several restaurants, like Taste of Asia and Elote Mexican Kitchen. Oliva Italian Eatery is another popular spot for dinner. This cozy Italian restaurant is known for its Alfredo dishes and many gluten-free menu options. Our Brunch Spot is a popular restaurant for weekend brunch, serving dishes like double hash skillets and Belgian waffles. There are a few more shopping and dining options just south of Woodland Springs, along Golden Triangle Boulevard. Walmart Supercenter and Aldi offer additional grocery shopping options, and Hot Creek Burger Company is a favorite for a bite to eat.Navigating Fort Worth
Residents primarily drive to get around, typically hopping on Interstate 35 West for most commutes. Commuters heading into Fort Worth have a 15-mile straight shot trip south before arriving in the city's heart. Healthcare is provided at Medical Center Alliance, about 6 miles away. When locals need to catch a flight, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is about 19 miles away.
