Williamson County Parks and Recreation is based in Berrys Chapel at the Franklin Recreation Complex. The neighborhood is also about 5 miles west of the Williamson Medical Center, which provides hospital care and anchors a campus of several specialist practices. Although Berrys Chapel doesn’t have a dense dining and shopping scene, its few establishments serve various cuisines. The health-conscious Herban Market is both an eatery and a natural foods grocer. Its patrons can enjoy espresso drinks, wines and menu items ranging from a fried egg-topped bowl of stew to tacos with slices of avocado. Stroud’s Barbeque serves downhome cooking, while those looking for sushi and ramen bowls can go to the Miso Japanese restaurant. Publix is the nearest grocery store. Berrys Chapel is also a few short miles from the shopping corridor anchored by the CoolSprings Galleria and The Factory at Franklin, the latter of which is an old stove factory that now hosts a vibrant mixed-use space. “It’s huge,” Plake says about The Factory. “It has everything from a theater to bars, to restaurants, to little boutiques.
