Buying a house in this gated community
Most houses in Cimarróne were built between the late 1990s and the early 2000s. "The community was built before clear-cutting, so there are tons of mature trees and larger lots," Lord says. "You'll see side load garages, which inherently have bigger lots." Home prices are well above the rest of the metro area, and properties usually stay on the market slightly longer than the national average. Most houses over 2,500 square feet range from around $650,000 to just under $1 million. Smaller homes can cost between $375,000 and $575,000. "There's lots of existing developments on the 210 corridor," Lord says. "Cimarróne Golf & Country Club is the only [development] on 210 that has a golf course and is gated. Historically, Cimarróne will have the highest ROI on the corridor."The community course, amenity center and nearby Veterans Park
The neighborhood's par 72 golf course has fairways and greens planted beyond the homes. Lord says the community recently spent around $2 million on upgrades for the club's amenities center. Residents also have access to a heated zero-entry pool and a private park. Veterans Park, a public green space about 7 miles north, spans 50 acres. A dog park is found towards the front while playgrounds and lighted pickleball courts are further back. Local athletic leagues play on the soccer and football fields. Residents say that traffic and parking can be a challenge on game days.Events at the Cimarróne Golf & Country Club
The Cimarróne Golf & Country Club hosts trivia nights and live music events, which are posted on the club's official Facebook page. "This is an active community, meaning there's loads of things to do," Lord says. "There's a Christmas lights parade and Fourth of July events."Attending Timberlin Creek Elementary and other schools
