Glenview homes with diverse styles and price points
With an average sales price of about $750,000, homes in The Willows sell for almost $60,000 more on average than those in the surrounding area of Glenview and are also significantly more expensive than the national average. With this raise in price, however, comes a notable increase in home size and yard space. Tall, mature trees, well-connected sidewalks and gently curving streets also help to maintain the peaceful vibe of The Willows. Sitting astride closely mowed lawns, many homes in the neighborhood were built in the early 1970s and feature garages at the front of the house, unique mansard roofs, and original brick construction, though newer construction is also common. Walking through The Willows, homebuyers can find anything from three-bedroom, traditional homes selling for as low as $460,000 to larger, five and six-bedroom builds that feature classical revival and prairie-influenced architecture. Selling for up to a million dollars, these homes have an added sense of architectural flair—they’re contemporary in style, with stone accents and large windows that let in an abundance of natural light.Heading outdoors around The Willows
When looking to get outside, there are plenty of parks nearby. For those wanting to practice their golf swing close to home, Glenview Prairie Club is just beyond the eastern edge of The Willows. Whether visiting for casual walks, to play a competitive game or taking pictures at the park's scenic fountain, Gallery Park is a popular choice for residents of The Willows. For something even more out in nature, The Grove is a 150-acre nature preserve at the southwest edge of the neighborhood. Formerly the home of a well-known horticulturist and educator named Dr. John Kennicott, residents can visit the park to experience Glenview’s most unique outdoor history and nature museum and learn about their local ecosystem and the native people and settlers who lived on this land and the tremendous impact they continue to have in the area. With a well-connected system of trails and habitats ranging from prairie to woodland, visitors can venture along the park's trails to explore the ecologically diverse habitat or sit by a wetland pool to watch a family of turtles sunning themselves.Top-rated schools of Northbrook-Glenview School District
