Goose Creek Village is a modern mixed-use community in Ashburn, about 35 miles from Washington, D.C. “It gives you urban living in a suburban setting,” says MJ Frazier, a real estate agent with RAZR Group who has sold many homes in the area. The community offers retail, dining, entertainment and office spaces within walking distance of residences, as well as neighborhood amenities, like a pool. For D.C. commuters, a weekday bus takes riders to the nearby Ashburn Metro station, and the Dulles Greenway runs through the area. Plus, Goose Creek Village is zoned for the top-rated Loudoun County Public Schools district. “The key thing about that neighborhood is how convenient it is,” Frazier says. “People like that they can walk to the grocery store or restaurants from their home.”
Shopping and dining within walking distance of homes
This community offers everyday conveniences within walking distance of residential areas. Locals have access to a Harris Teeter grocery store, pet salon, barber shop, church, nail salon, dentist, yoga studio and more. “There’s even a gas station in the neighborhood,” Frazier says. When they want to go out to eat, residents have options. Passion Fin serves Asian cuisine, from handrolls and sashimi to hibachi and teriyaki. Nearby Farm & Fork Kitchen has an extensive dinner and brunch menu and a rustic vibe, while Social House Kitchen & Tap’s large dining room and outdoor patio are perfect for groups. There’s also office space within Goose Creek Village. Inova Loudoun Hospital is about 5 miles away.
Townhouses and condos with an HOA
Townhouses and condos are the most common types of housing here. Prices can range from $460,000 to $780,000, depending on size and age. All residents become members of the Goose Creek Village Homeowners Association, which gives them access to the pool and clubhouse and maintains common areas. Residents are responsible for the upkeep and landscaping of their own properties.
Community amenities in Goose Creek Village
While Goose Creek Village does not have any large parks, pockets of green space sit between some condo or townhouse developments. These areas are great for walking dogs or getting some fresh air. The community also has a playground, a pool and a clubhouse that can be rented for events. Sidewalks link the community to amenities, including an amphitheater that hosts a summer concert series. Many other events also bring the community together, from a fall festival to a New Year’s Eve celebration.
Students zoned for Loudoun County Public Schools
Loudoun County Public Schools ranks as the fourth-best school district in Virginia and receives an A from Niche. Students can attend Belmont Station Elementary School and Trailside Middle, which both earn A-minuses. Next, they can go to Stone Bridge High School, which receives an A and offers dual enrollment courses with Northern Virginia Community College.
35 miles to Washington, D.C.
The Dulles Greenway runs through the neighborhood and connects with U.S. Interstate 66, which will take drivers about 35 miles to Washington, D.C. Loudoun County Transit has a bus service that runs through Goose Creek Village from Monday to Friday. The bus travels to the Ashburn Metro station, which leads to the nation’s capital on the Silver Line. For air travel, Dulles International Airport is about 10 miles southeast.
