Rural agricultural community on the outskirts of Fayetteville

Named for the Biblical “Land of Goshen,” said to be the richest agricultural land in Ancient Egypt, the city of Goshen in Northwest Arkansas boasts impressive superlatives and features of its own. Goshen not only shares its namesake’s rural charms and abundance of farms but has also been ranked the “most educated” city in Arkansas by Business Insider. Within the vast stretch of farmland that Goshen comprises, residents have access to amenities from a highly rated brewery to a restaurant, a community center, a park, and shopping, ensuring that residents can enjoy a local slice of the Fayetteville area’s manifold amenities.

Variety of older and newer home styles

Goshen was founded in 1878, and its history has been defined by its rurality. Having derived its sake from a fabled “land of plenty” from ancient times, Goshen is full of farmland and natural scenery that both beautifies this community and provides residents with a sense of peace and privacy. This lifestyle can be enjoyed in a number of settings: small, traditional ranch-style homes selling for around $200,000; vast family homes selling for between $700,000 and $1 million; and even palatial Craftsman-style residences selling for well over $1 million. Realtor Eric Duca describes Goshen as “Unparalleled luxury surrounded by nature and privacy.” Whether residents are looking to live in a classic ranch home far from the bustling city or desire to live in fashionable homes with easy access to the amenities of Fayetteville – Arkansas’ second-largest city – Goshen offers ample opportunities for homebuyers to purchase the house of their dreams. Duca adds, “Modern designs meet the tranquility of their natural surroundings, ensuring a life of comfort and refinement.”

Weekly farmer's market at the Goshen Community Center

Goshen may be chartered as a city, but this community is home to just over 2,100 residents living in homes dotted throughout this vast rural expanse. Locals have the opportunity to come together at a variety of local amenities, from this community’s dining scene to some of its more communal amenities. Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant is Goshen’s sole eatery, but it more than lives up to the task of pleasing local palates; its large portions of Mexican grilled foods and tacos have garnered glowing reviews from both local and out-of-state visitors. Along that same stretch of Bowen Boulevard, residents also have access to a Dollar General for a selection of everyday necessities, as well as to a Phillips 66 gas station to fuel their journeys into Fayetteville. Goshen’s agricultural heritage comes alive at the Thursday farmers’ market from 4:30 to 7 PM as the freshest tomatoes, beef, and even cakes and cookies are sold from a pop-up bazaar in front of the Goshen Community Center. Local creativity can also be explored at the Orthodox Farmhouse Brewery, a highly rated brewery with stand-out beers and gorgeous views of Northwest Arkansas’ tree-lined plateaus and distant hills.
