Maplecrest is at Goshen’s northeastern edge, where suburban streets quickly give way to the rural heart of Elkhart County. The neighborhood is named after its defining feature: Maplecrest Country Club. The private country club opened in 1960, and the neighborhood developed soon thereafter. Though few Maplecrest residents are club members, the course fosters a quiet, peaceful tone beyond ts boundaries that extends into the neighborhood. “Maplecrest Country Club and nearby Norton Lake provide residents with a scenic view,” says City of Goshen Community Relations Manager Hannah Scott-Carter.
Some newer homes in Maplecrest feature contemporary styling with gently sloped rooflines.

A collection of midcentury homes with spacious yards
With street names like Nicklaus Drive and Player Drive – a tip of the cap to two of the most dominant golfers of the late 1960s and early 1970s – the neighborhood acknowledges its proximity to the country club, but these are not luxury golf course estates. The neighborhood consists of well-maintained ranch-style and split-level homes where most lawns have one or more mature trees adding to the sense of peace. Residents who live in Maplecrest tend to stay – the neighborhood averages fewer than two homes sold per year since 2021. Prices range from $170,000 to $375,000.
Updated split-levels give Maplecrest its up-and-coming vibes.

Both routes lead 2 miles south to Downtown Goshen, and State Road 15 also goes 8 miles north to Bristol and the Indiana Toll Road. Middlebury Road heads 9 miles northeast through the heart of Northern Indiana’s Amish Country towards Middlebury.
The nearest hospital is Goshen Hospital, located downtown. Goshen Municipal Airport is about 7 miles away with regional destinations serviced by American Airlines, United, Breeze Airways, and Aeromexico.
Close to 17-mile Pumpkinvine Nature Trail
Though a handful of Maplecrest Country Club members live in the neighborhood, the golf course is generally a neighboring greenspace for most. The club offers golf, pickleball and a full-service restaurant for its members. Similarly, nearby Norton Lake enhances the area’s beauty but does not feature a public boat launch or fishing area. The nearby Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is the top publicly accessible recreational area for Maplecrest residents. The 17-mile trail connects the towns of Goshen, Middlebury and Shipshewana.
