Wealthy Street
Wealthy Street is the dividing line between the Baxter and East Hills neighborhoods. It runs across the Grand River, through downtown's south side, all the way to Reeds Lake. This historic red-brick street is lined by various local businesses, including charming boutiques and cozy eateries like The Electric Cheetah. Right in the neighborhood, this lively bistro is known for its creative, savory dishes and sizeable list of craft root beers. Two blocks down, Forty Acres Soul Kitchen and Cognac Bar is a popular spot that serves up and celebrates soul food classics. As for daily shopping and errands, there are small markets around the neighborhood, such as Wealthy Market, Sam's Super Market and Fannies Corner. However, folks may head to commercial grocery stores a few miles away for more extensive shopping trips.
