Grapevine's buzzing Main Street provides residents a host of events to enjoy
Grapevine’s historic Main Street is brimming with an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants, seamlessly tying its past to its present. “Grapevine is well cared for and active,” says Denis Fedorick, a Realtor with United Real Estate DFW. “We have festivals regularly, and everybody comes out to participate.” A full calendar of festivals and events makes this a lively place to call home, but residents equally enjoy the small-town charm inherent in Grapevine, which was established in 1884. Primely located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and home to the bustling Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, this town has much to offer its population of just over 50,000 residents.

Leafy streets lined with ranch and Traditional style homes
Grapevine’s suburban streets are lined with leafy, mature trees. Brick ranch homes and Traditional-style homes are perched on tidy, lush lots that typically range between a quarter and half an acre. Homes closer to the shores of Grapevine Lake have more unique styles, including spacious modern farmhouses and Mediterranean-style houses. Fedorick says homes in Grapevine will cost a little more than in nearby cities. “There’s definitely a luxury market here,” she says. “Since it’s such a desirable area, home prices are a little higher than normal, but we do have a wide variety for everyone.” Three-bedroom ranch-style homes start around $350,000. Larger homes can cost anywhere from $525,000 to $1.5 million.

Local shopping and dining on Main Street and big-box options at Grapevine Mills
Residents head to downtown Grapevine’s picturesque Main Street for great local shopping and dining. This vibrant historic district has plenty of options, but Fedorick recommends Napoli’s Italian Kitchen & Market. Here, locals can grab a booth and choose from a menu of Italian classics. Local boutiques and gift shops line the streets, offering hours of perusing. For big-box stores, residents head to Grapevine Mills near Highway 121 for options like Books-A-Million and Old Navy. A 25-mile commute to eitherDallas and Fort Worth
Downtown Grapevine is easily walkable, but most residents rely on a car to get around town and beyond. Under the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Silver Line Project, which is projected to begin construction in late 2024, Grapevine will receive two new railway stations that connect to the airport and neighboring cities. Proximity to highways 121 and 114 makes commuting a breeze. A 25-mile drive west lands locals in Fort Worth, while 25 miles east brings them to the heart of Dallas. Centrally located and full of charm, Grapevine provides laid-back living in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex
