Over 20 miles of trails along the Poudre River
Broadview Park lies at the intersection of Sixth Street and 28th Avenue and has a baseball field, a playground and picnic tables. Franklin Park is just a block away and has soccer fields and open green space. Ramseier Park is also nearby, with walking trails and a large, barn-themed playground. Anglers can visit Bittersweet Park to cast a line in its 30-acre lake to catch largemouth bass and rainbow trout. The paved Poudre River Trail is about a mile north of the neighborhood and runs along its namesake river for dozens of miles, winding through Greeley, Windsor and southeast Fort Collins. Cycling Without Age is a volunteer-run program that takes those with mobility challenges on free trishaw rides along the trail. The Houston Gardens are a few blocks away from Broadview and have secluded walking trails that wind through botanical gardens and past small ponds. There is also a community garden where plots can be rented seasonally to grow produce.
