Historic Victorian architecture
Houses sit close together on quaint, quarter-acre lots, and most have fenced-in backyards. Bungalows and ranch-style homes sit between American foursquares and farmhouses, with many homes featuring Victorian influences. While some houses were built in the mid-1900s, most date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Two and three-bedroom bungalows with between 1,300 and 1,700 square feet range from $290,000 to $375,000, while larger builds with more acreage can go for $400,000 to $650,000.Authentic Mexican eats
Greeley is known for its authentic Mexican restaurants, and there are a handful of options within the neighborhood along both Ninth Street and 11th Avenue, including Birrieria Doña Maria, which has an expansive menu with dishes ranging from tortas to street tacos. Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant has a relaxed patio where patrons can enjoy giant margaritas. Los Comales Market is a Mexican grocery store with pastries and other essentials. For a larger grocery selection, residents can drive about 3 miles southeast to Save a Lot or King Soopers.Concurrent enrollment with AIMS Community College
Martinez Elementary School and Franklin Middle School both earn C overall grades from Niche. Northridge High School receives a C-plus and offers both Advanced Placement and concurrent enrollment through AIMS Community College. The school also offers various career and technical education courses from engineering to family and consumer sciences. The LINC Library Innovation Center is a new addition to the downtown landscape and has more than just books and study rooms. It hosts a maker space with a 3D printer, a woodworking shop, a recording studio and an art studio. LINC hosts programs ranging from story times and book club meetings to English language learning conversation sessions, yoga classes and craft workshops.Paved walking trails along the Poudre River
Luther Park is to the neighborhood’s southwest and has open field space, a playground and a shaded picnic area. Island Grove Regional Park is a short drive north and is the largest outdoor recreation area in Greeley. The park has to a splash pad, a playground and facilities for baseball and soccer. The paved Poudre River Trail can be accessed around a mile north of City Center and runs for over 20 miles through Greeley and Windsor to southeast Fort Collins alongside the winding Poudre River.Excitement at the Greeley Stampede
Each summer, Island Grove hosts the Greeley Stampede, a community event with carnival rides, rodeos, games and live music. “It’s the city’s premier event,” says Brian Franzen, a local Realtor with eXp Realty. “Thousands of people come to the rodeos each year. It's something people look forward to when summer rolls around.” The two-week event's main stage has hosted big-name artists from Tim McGraw to Reba McEntire.Public transit routes and major Colorado thoroughfares
The Greeley Evans Transit System has numerous bus stops along Ninth Street and 11th Avenue and six routes operate throughout town. When traveling to the nearby cities of Loveland and Fort Morgan, drivers can take U.S. Route 34, while state Route 85 spans north to Cheyenne, Wyoming and south to Denver.
