A namesake greenspace and miles of trail along the Poudre River
Farr Park lies in the neighborhood’s center and has facilities for tennis, pickleball, volleyball, baseball and basketball, along with picnic tables and a playground. In the summer, the Hillside Pool on 27th Street is popular, where members can go for a swim or have a barbecue. Glenmere Park is a short drive north of Farrs and has a playground, picnic tables and shaded walking trails that wind alongside a pond, where anglers can catch largemouth bass, crappie and carp. “The Poudre River Trail is one of the most popular recreation areas in the city,” says June Lemmings, a local real estate agent with June’s Team Keller Williams. “You can spend a whole day walking the trail and not see it all. And it's always well-maintained and clean. It’s one of the city's points of pride.” The paved trail runs for around 21 miles alongside the Poudre River and is popular among bikers and runners.
The Farr Park playground was upgraded in 2023 to better serve the neighborhood.

The Health Science Academy at Greeley Central High
Jackson Elementary School is around a half mile west of the neighborhood and earns a C-plus overall grade from Niche. Brentwood Middle School also has a C-plus and has numerous extracurricular offerings, including forensics, the?yearbook club and the League of United Latin American Citizens. Greeley Central High School receives a B and, along with its dual enrollment opportunities, hosts the Health Science Academy, where participating students interested in medical careers can earn skills and knowledge through hands-on learning, community projects and competitive events.
The University of Northern Colorado is just north of Farrs and enrolls around 9,000 students. The school offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate programs and is nationally recognized as a Hispanic Serving Organization. In fact, over 42% of the student body are first-generation college students. Farrs borders the university’s sports facilities to the south, sometimes bringing some noise from Bears football games and soccer practices.

Getting around town with Greeley Evans Transit
The community is about a mile from the intersection of state Routes 34 and 85, allowing for access to surrounding Greeley suburbs and nearby towns. Highway 34 takes drivers about 22 miles west to Loveland or 50 miles east to Fort Morgan, while SR-85 travels around 54 miles to Cheyenne, Wyoming or about 55 miles south to Denver. Greeley Evans Transit also operates a selection of nearby bus stops.
