Suburban living along Military Avenue in Firemans Park
On the far western side of Green Bay, Firemans Park feels like it should be far from Green Bay’s action, but instead has a centralized feel. Military Avenue runs along the eastern side, lined with mom-and-pop restaurants and local shops. About 2 miles south are Lambeau Field and Titletown. Traditionally the home of the Green Bay Packers, the stadium and new adjacent commercial complex feature restaurants and activities for the community throughout the year. In the winter, Firemans Park, the neighborhood’s namesake, welcomes visitors to its hill for sledding. Despite all the activity nearby, Firemans Park still feels like a peaceful suburb where residents can put down roots in Green Bay.

Firemans Park's Cape Cods and ranches
Firemans Park offers a mix of Cape Cods and ranches with the occasional split-level, especially closer to the elementary school. Trees line the streets, with the leaves creating canopy and offering shade over the pavement. While there aren’t sidewalks in this community, the park and elementary are still close enough for residents to walk without crossing any major intersections. Homes here typically sell between $175,000 and $375,000.

Safe sledding in the winter at Firemans Park
Surrounded by houses, Firemans Park sits at the center of the neighborhood with Beaver Dam Creek running through it, which people can admire as they stroll along the footbridge on 6th Street. Residents can walk from their homes to the playground or basketball courts. In the winter, residents and visitors sled down the hill. “The parking lot’s pretty much full every time it snows,” says Realtor Jerrilynn Vandenberg with Fireside Realty. She also highlights that while the park is off a major thoroughfare, it's fenced in, so sledding is safer for adults and little ones. To the east, Colburn Park stretches across 60.5 acres, offering tennis, volleyball and bocce courts. In the summer, visitors can cool off in the pool, complete with lap lanes and diving boards.

Buses along Military Avenue and access to I-41
Firemans Park is on the far western side of the city, sitting between Interstate 41 and Mason Street. All of the interstates around Green Bay connect, making a loop around the city, so residents can easily get around the city by living so close to I-41. Mason Street also connects people to downtown Green Bay, about 3.5 miles away. Because Firemans Park sits alongside these busy streets, residents and park visitors may hear the traffic as it passes. Military Avenue runs north to south along the eastern side of Firemans Park, lined with local shops and restaurants as well as bigger box stores. Buses stop along this route to connect those without cars. HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center is 1.3 miles north, accessible via Military Avenue. When traveling beyond the city, Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport is 7 miles from Firemans Park.

In Titletown, Hinterland Restaurant and Brewery has served Green Bay for over 20 years and offers steaks and wood-fired pizzas. Titletown's growing event scene and football games
While Firemans Park itself has a quieter social calendar outside of the sledding season, it's only 2 miles from Lambeau Field and Titletown. “The Titletown District is really starting to build up with the restaurants and events,” Vandenberg says. “Once a month they have a kid-friendly movie projected onto Lambeau Field, so the kids sit out in their blankets.” The district also hosts weekly activities, like pickleball games, yoga and networking opportunities. During the summer, Titletown Night Market brings in vendors, food and live music from local bands on Thursday afternoons. During football season, residents get together with family and friends before watching the Packers take the field. “It wouldn’t be uncommon to see cars parked in the driveways and people watching the game together in garages or backyards,” says Jeff DeGuelle, a real estate agent with Symes Realty.
