The convenience of I-43
Directly north of the neighborhood is Interstate 43, connecting residents with the rest of Green Bay, including its western side. “The transportation infrastructure is so good here,” says Kathy Welty, Realtor with Coldwell Banker. “It’s very easy to get around, especially since the interstates create a circle around the entire city.” The interstate, with the help of State Route 172, offers 15-mile drives to Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport. Similarly, HSHS Saint Mary’s Hospital is a 10-mile drive east, right off the throughway. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's campus is closer to home, 3 miles northeast, off Nicolet Drive. Green Bay Metrobus stops are also available along University Avenue.

The ranch and Cape Cod-style homes of Haevers Corners
Narrow sidewalks line the residential streets of Haevers Corners, with just enough space for a stroll with the pup. These walkways run through front yards, creating grassy medians where old and new-growth trees sit. One-car driveways lead to detached garages and early-to-mid 20th-century homes, most of which come in ranch and Cape Cod styles. Plots typically span about a quarter-acre and feature equally sized front and backyards, with enough space for a patio or private pool. Potential homebuyers can expect a price range that starts at $90,000 for an investment opportunity and reaches up to $260,000 for a larger, recently renovated house.
Haevers Corner is populated with large mature trees shading homes and sidewalks.

Strolls to Kennedy Park and short drives to Bay Beach Amusement Park
Kennedy Park sits on the community’s eastern central side, on Farlin Avenue and within walking distance of most homes. The park offers a traditional park experience with several slides, a basketball court and an indoor facility that residents can rent for birthday parties and other special occasions. Less than a mile northwest are the thrills of Bay Beach Amusement Park. According to Tara Kos Sherman, broker and owner of Legacy First LLC and native of Green Bay, the amusement park is a popular spot, specifically for views of the bay from the top of the Ferris wheel and the Zippin Pippin, Elvis’ once favorite roller coaster. It is also owned by the city and not privately, making ride fares comparatively cheaper than the typical, privately owned amusement park.
Dining and running errands along College Avenue
University Avenue runs along the neighborhood's southern border, where several stores and restaurants sit, including Festival Foods for groceries. A walk to the south from the neighborhood leads to Legend Larry's chicken wings and welcoming sports bar atmosphere, as well as the burritos and tacos of Taqueria El Local, a few blocks west. For retail shopping, East Town, home to big-name stores like Kohl’s, Burlington and several others, is located a 3-mile drive south on North Henry Street.

Summer nights at CityDeck and winter shows at The Weidner
Downtown Green Bay, 3 miles west on Radisson Street, offers plenty to keep busy, including Fridays on the Fox at CityDeck, a weekly event from June to August. Attendees dance to live local music as the sun sets over the Fox River. Also held downtown is the Saturday Farmers Market on South Washington and Doty Streets, which runs from late May to late October. A similar distance northeast leads to The Wiedner, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s performing arts theater. “People love going there for their shows,” Welty says. “It’s the go-to spot for Christmas-themed shows during the holidays.”

Shipping companies and passing cars
Considering I-43 is situated just north, those living on the northern side of the neighborhood are subject to background noise in the form of passing vehicles. However, the lot of several trucking companies and a handful other industrial sites directly north of Eastman Avenue work as a barrier between the throughway and residential properties.
Haevers Corner residents take advantage of shaded sidewalks.
Many residents in Haevers Corner maintain landscaping with colorful flowers.
