A friendly suburb with plenty to do nearby
John Muir Park is home to friendly neighbors who gather at community events and support one another through the John Muir Park Neighborhood Association. Hugging its western border is Interstate 41, offering quick access to the surrounding Green Bay area. However, residents don’t have to travel far to do their shopping along Military Avenue and partake in holiday traditions at the Winter Jubilee Warm Up in the up-and-coming Titletown area, both of which sit within just a mile of the neighborhood. Even closer to home is its namesake park, a stroll away from the community’s homes, offering year-round recreational opportunities.
John Muir Park is a small, quiet neighborhood located adjacent to the best of Green Bay.

The ranch and split-level-style homes of John Muir Park
Mature red oak trees fill the front and backyards of homes, providing bright orange, yellow and red leaves during the fall and shade during summer strolls. Run-ins with neighbors are also common, thanks to the association's official Facebook page, where neighbors offer home repair favors, share missing pet posts and keep each other updated with relevant information. Lining the community are mid-to-late 20th-century ranch and split-level-style homes atop quarter-acre plots. Most feature modest landscaping, where bushes run underneath front-facing windows and seasonal flowers along pathways leading to front doors. Home pride is apparent here, supplemented by the association’s Improve Your Curb Appeal Contest, where residents vote on the most improved front yard. The neighborhood also offers a relatively narrow price range. Potential homebuyers can expect home prices from $236,000 to $355,000, depending on size and condition.

Ice skating at John Muir Park and walks to Lambeau Field
A short stroll to the east leads to community’s namesake park. “It’s a very popular park and surprisingly big,” says Cheryl Williams, president of the neighboring MacArthur Heights Neighborhood Association. “It’s also very wooded and has plenty of shade on hot days.” The spring and summer seasons welcome visitors to its expansive playground and two baseball diamonds for pick-up games and practice. Winter sees many making stops at its on-site ice skating rink. Similarly, Lambeau Field sits a mile from the community, allowing Packers fans to avoid the hassle of parking with 25-minute walks to the stadium.

All-day happy hour at Margarita's on Green Bay
Green Bay Plaza, home to Dollar Tree, TJ Maxx & Homegoods, Big Lots and more, is located less than a mile north on Military Avenue. A half-mile farther leads to an Aldi, where residents do their grocery shopping. The popular Summer Market on Military is located across the street, providing visitors with local produce, fresh bread, and more every Thursday afternoon from early June to Late October. Margarita’s of Green Bay, a local favorite, sits directly south of the neighborhood on Lombardi Avenue and is known for its authentic Mexican fare and all-day happy hour every Monday. Meanwhile, Golden Basket Restaurant, a casual American-style eatery located in the community’s northeastern corner, serves all-day breakfast.

Neighborhood gatherings and Titletown happenings
John Muir Neighborhood Association brings neighbors together at the Annual Concert and Party in the Park. The celebration includes live local music, free food, and pick-up volleyball and kickball games. Similarly, Movie in the Park offers Friday night films on the John Muir Park lawn, where residents get to vote on which to watch next on the association's Facebook page. When winter rolls around, many make the short half-mile trip to Titletown. “The Titletown Association is working on building up the area and creating bigger events around Lambeau Field,” says Alex Young, Realtor with Keller Williams and native of Green Bay, who has seven years of selling experience in the greater region. “They do a large Christmas market and have an ice skating rink,” in reference to the Winter Jubilee Warm Up at Titletown, a two-day event in late November. Alongside shopping and skating, attendees can catch the Titletown Winter Jubilee Light Show, take photos with live reindeer and drop off Christmas lists at Santa’s Titletown Mailbox.
