A city with two farmers markets on both sides of the river

Green Bay offers two farmers markets each week during the summer—one on the east side of the river and one on the west. On the east side, the Saturday Farmers Market, where people go to get their produce and fresh goods, according to Young. On the west side of the Fox River, the Farmers Market on Broadway happens every Wednesday evening, featuring live music and vendors. “Every Fourth of July, we do Fire over the Fox. They shut down a portion of downtown Green Bay, and they do fireworks over the river,” Young says. “It tends to draw people downtown.” While Navarino isn’t on the same side of the river as Lambeau Stadium, the community is very involved in the Green Bay Packers and shows up for games throughout the season.
