Navarino's historic Dutch Colonials and American Foursquares
When strolling down the sidewalks along Navarino’s tree-lined streets, people can find the homes here are a mix of Dutch Colonials, American Foursquares and Nationals. While many of the homes here were built between 1880 and 1930, homes don’t have any plaques or signs distinguishing them as historic homes. Properties here sell between $150,000 and $300,000.Automotive program offered through East High

Both the school and Washington Middle School receive C rankings from Niche. With a B-minus from Niche, East High School offers the City Stadium Automotive program, where students can learn about and practice fixing automotive systems. Navarino Park shares its name with the neighborhood and sits in its center, making it walkable from the houses. Here, people can stroll along the paved walking path around the open fields and kids can play on the playground. To the east, Joannes Park features 30 acres of athletic amenities, including everything from baseball diamonds and tennis courts to horseshoe pits and a skatepark. In the summer, the aquatic center offers a space for people to cool off. “The Fox River Trail runs right along the river,” says Realtor Alex Young with Keller Williams Commercial and Green Bay native. “It’s a paved trail and one of the longest in Wisconsin. Captain’s Walk Winery curates its food menu to pair with its wine selections. Every other Thursday night, they offer singo—a twist on Bingo with songs instead of numbers. Angelina offers Italian cuisine in a rustic setting. Their outdoor patio is shaded by vines and lit by string lights, making it a popular date spot. Closer to Navarino, The Attic combines coffee and books, encouraging people to explore the used book options while sipping their coffee. Green Bay offers two farmers markets each week during the summer—one on the east side of the river and one on the west. On the east side, the Saturday Farmers Market, where people go to get their produce and fresh goods, according to Young. On the west side of the Fox River, the Farmers Market on Broadway happens every Wednesday evening, featuring live music and vendors. “Every Fourth of July, we do Fire over the Fox. They shut down a portion of downtown Green Bay, and they do fireworks over the river,” Young says. “It tends to draw people downtown.” While Navarino isn’t on the same side of the river as Lambeau Stadium, the community is very involved in the Green Bay Packers and shows up for games throughout the season.
