Nicolet Elementary School has a student-teacher ratio of 10:1 and holds a C grade on Niche. The school sits near the center of the neighborhood at Irwin Avenue and Elm Street. Washington Middle School also earns a C grade. Students at East High School can join one of the school’s 21 athletic programs or choose from 34 extracurricular activities and programs. The school earns a B-minus grade on Niche.
Bars, Packers games and celebrations at Whitney Park
Main Street Bourbon Room offers rotating menu items and a wide selection of spirits and specials. Cock & Bull Publick House serves more than 200 beers alongside a healthy collection of bar games. To the area’s immediate west, Whitney Park hosts annual gatherings such as Trash Bash for Earth Day, Theater in the Park shows in the summer and family-friendly block parties in the winter. Maricque’s Bar is a longtime local favorite, serving fish fry baskets and Wisconsin-style cocktails for more than 90 years.
