Close to schools, parks and shopping, Bryson Ridge has everything that you could want from a suburb. Sitting on the periphery of downtown, this small community has the perks of being close to a city center while tucked into a quiet corner of Northeast Greensboro. "Bryson Ridge is a good little community," says Realtor John Newman of Allen Tate Realtors. "People don't move away when they buy a home here."

Housing in Bryson Ridge is mainly from the 1990s, with a few from the 1940s off Bryson Street. Most houses are ranch-style, with about 1,200 to 1,400 square feet and three bedrooms. Several residents have carports, small front porches and fenced-in backyards. Homes in the area are close to one another on quarter-acre, manicured lots with a few trees spotting each yard. Bryson Ridge is also home to the Vue at Greensboro, a small, recently renovated town home community. Housing prices are primarily between the range of $150,000 and $250,000.

"A lot of people own their homes in Bryson Ridge," Newman says. "I actually sold homes to many people in the '90s that are still there today. So that's to say that it's rare for a house to go on the market, but when it does, it sells quickly."

When the weather’s nice, most residents will make the short trip to Keeley Park. Under 5 miles east of Bryson Ridge, Keeley Park is a nearby outdoor playground with several amenities perfect for the whole family. Kids enjoy the accessible Up in the AIR playground or the splash pad during summer. Other amenities include an outdoor fitness area, a mountain bike trail, a disc golf course and several lakes for fishing. Joe Davis Park is only a mile from Bryson Ridge and features a softball and baseball field, a concession stand and a playground so the kids can play while you watch a game.

Local athletes flock to the Greensboro Sportsplex, just 2 miles east of Bryson Ridge. The 106,000-square-foot facility is chock-full of athletic fields and courts that support basketball, hockey, volleyball, soccer and more. The city-owned and operated athletic complex hosts regional and national tournaments, sports clinics and summer camps. Open play is welcome and encouraged if you want to shoot some hoops with friends, play a few innings of baseball or skate the indoor roller rink.

The Shops of Pyramid Village are 2 miles away when you need groceries. The shopping center features a Walmart Supercenter in its heart, a Rainbow for thrifting, a barber and several spots to have a meal. A popular restaurant is Red Crab Juicy Seafood, where you’ll find several seafood options that you can dress in various sauces and spices. For more shopping options, head a few miles west to the Village at North Elm, where you’ll find a Harris Teeter. The shopping center also has several restaurants like Santa Fe Mexican Grill, Fuji Sushi and Mediterraneo Restaurant and Pizzeria.

Students in Bryson Ridge attend Guilford County Schools like Rankin Elementary School. Rankin features year-round student sports, including cheerleading, football, basketball and soccer. Students then attend Eastern Guilford Middle School, which has a student-to-teacher ratio of 17-to-1. The last school in line is Eastern Guilford High School – home of the Wildcats. The high school scored an overall B- on Niche.

Bryson Ridge borders Highway 29 and is only a few miles from the Greensboro Urban Loop, allowing for ease of day-to-day travel. The demand for Northeast Greensboro is quickly growing, and Bryson Ridge's proximal location is making it a neighborhood to watch.
